TOEFL® Preparation Online The New England School of English On-Line
NESE On-Line's TOEFL® Preparation Course is divided into three main skill areas – grammar, listening & speaking, and reading & writing. This is an eight-section course. It does not matter in which order you take the sections. Each section meets 3 times each week for 6 weeks.
Grammar for TOEFL®
Although the official TOEFL® Exam no longer has an independent Grammar component, students preparing for the TOEFL® and other standardized exams (such as GMAT, GRE, and IELTS) welcome the opportunity to focus specifically on advanced grammar points presented in the challenging and dense TOEFL® style. By including this grammar as part of your class, you will receive an in-depth skill review of grammatical structures, learn sophisticated forms, and acquire test-taking techniques, You will also have the opportunity to review any grammar topics that you choose.
Listening & Speaking for TOEFL®
This component of the course focuses specifically on the listening and speaking sections of the iBT Next Generation TOEFL® exam. You will practice listening to dialogues and lectures and will learn the skills required to respond to both the independent and integrated speaking portions of the exam.
Reading & Writing for TOEFL®
This component of the course focuses specifically on the reading comprehension and writing sections of the iBT Next Generation TOEFL® exam. Students will improve their skimming and scanning abilities, learn information and vocabulary recognition strategies, and acquire the writing skills necessary to complete both the independent and integrated writing portions of the exam.
