Introduction
The MS in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Leadership prepares students to meet the increasing demand for DEI professionals who can create inclusive environments in business, non-profit, and educational settings. Studying the challenges to social equity within both the United States and internationally, students will gain skills in leadership strategies to enact meaningful social change. Multiple dimensions of human diversity are addressed through the program’s curriculum, with special attention to (dis)ability, gender/gender identity, language, national origin, race/ethnicity, religion/faith, sexual identity, and socioeconomic class.
The GCNYC Difference: A Global Diversity Program
With direct ties to our parent university in the United Kingdom and with our commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, GCNYC offers a global approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Students will learn to meet the challenges of achieving inclusion and social justice for corporations and not-for-profits with a global footprint, even as they develop a deep understanding of issues in diversity, equity, and inclusion in the United States. Guest speakers and thesis partners are drawn from GCNYC’s network in New York City, across the United States, and internationally so that students can explore the commonalities and differences between leading DEI efforts domestically and internationally.
