As an environmental sciences student, a person studies how technology impacts the environment. In addition, a focus is put on learning about how humans affect the environment and how to solve issues and threats towards the environment due to human activities.

The 48 contiguous states and the federal district of Washington, D.C. are in first North America between Canada and Mexico. The state of Alaska is in northwestern North America, west of Canada and east of Russia across the Bering Strait, and the state of Hawaii is an archipelago in the mid-North Pacific. The country also has five populated and nine unpopulated territories in the Pacific and the Caribbean.

Summer courses are educational programs that are available during the summer months from learning institutions located across the globe. Some schools offer these seasonal courses in-person or online so that students can further increase their education in the manner most convenient to them.
