Introduction
In the University of West Florida’s clinically-focused, online Master of Social Work program, students prepare to enter advanced social work practice armed with specialized study in medical and behavioral health. This program meets educational course requirements for licensure as a clinical social worker in the state of Florida and is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
The traditional MSW program is open to learners from all academic backgrounds and includes 30 hours of foundational curriculum, as well as 30 hours of an advanced clinical study. Students explore topics including human behavior in the social environment, social service policy, clinical social work, and social work research. Students also complete hundreds of clinical hours so they begin their careers prepared to tackle challenges and make positive change.
UWF’s online MSW program prepares motivated learners to be clinical practitioners in a variety of areas including healthcare, mental health, substance abuse, gerontology, and military populations.
